Update February 2021

Member Catchups and Social Gatherings:
Back in Business – opening with a Thursday 4th March catchup – 9:00 am at the Hangar.
Social Gatherings recommence Friday 5th March from 5:00 pm. 

Stringer Reserve: despite the threat of thunderstorms and heavy rain, the build was completed – roof on and guttering attached. Looking forward to seeing the fence removed and get to work setting it up for the members.
Help a Mate: your opportunity to get some help on those “difficult” projects. So if you have outstanding work you need some help with contact John and the team.
Projects: Time to get those ideas before the Projects Committee for the required assessment. 
Music Appreciation: “The band” is meeting Wednesday afternoons at the Hangar.
Car Club: regular meetings in 2021.
500 Card Club: Face to face sessions will be happening back at the Hangar, once the rules on gatherings permit. 
Rye Primary Bike Program: The logistics and timing to be defined, within COVID restrictions at the school. 

Sorrento Festival / Art Show:

5th to 8th March: Arts and Craft Show: at the Sorrento Community Centre                        
Sunday 7th March from 11:30 to 6:15 pm.: Music Festival in George Street 
Features the Dromana Secondary Band (11:30), Min, Francine & Harley (12:30) Carloua Blues Band (1:30),
the Navy Orchestra (3:15) followed by our band Al Fresco Social Club (5:30).
The stage will be located in George St Sorrento near the Commbank.
Monday 8th March: Dog show and Market 
Monday 8th March: Car show Southern Peninsula Car Club and the Peninsula Boys showing their
cars at the David Macfarlan Reserve from 9 am.
