March 2022 Update

Member Activity

“The Shed Men” (Graham Goudie): Members will be delighted to learn our inhouse band – The Shed Men – will be at The Hangar on Friday 8 April for their next gig.  Their repertoire has expanded and the band is looking forward to seeing you – and hoping the audience participation will be rocking.
We understand there may be a special birthday celebrated at The Hangar.
Bring along your dancing shoes 🎸🎸🎸.

I see another booking has been confirmed – Blairgowrie Community Garden  Friday 29th April.

Motor Group (Rob Koller):  The 2000 Holden Barina that was donated to the Shed had a serious work over and has been SOLD and the money in the Bank!!. Great result – thanks to Michael for the donation and all the mechanics.

Balgownie Winery Yarra Glen: Thursday the 2nd June 2022:
Bookings are open to join the event.

Football Tipping: The AFL Footy Tipping program has kicked off with our “PNMSA Comp” registered for our members. A past winner, Damien Gilmore, has leaped into the lead on Round 1.
A score of 8 on Round 1 is an amazing start.

Crisis Housing Presentation: Many thanks to Warren for organizing a speaker from Bayview Care to present about the crisis housing project that he and James Rennie have been working on.
Members and interested parties are invited.
It is scheduled for Thursday 21 April at the Hangar.

Bikes Program: (David Gibson): In the past, we have collected any bike for restoration and resale, often ending with units just going to the tip!!  We are putting strict limits on what we will receive. No roadside pickups accepted!! David has a wealth of experience in bike maintenance and has offered to first inspect any bike on offer and decide if we can accept the bike.

(From Warren Dickins) Here is a local GIG you may be interested in. I know these blokes, they have been doing Beatles for many years.  Their full tribute band Rubber Soul was also sensational. It’s a lot of fun.
Please book if you wish to come along. Bookings at sickytickets.com.au or 5986-1066
