Welcome to a New Year at the Shed:-
– Executive Committee Meeting: Tuesday 1st February
– Member Catchup: Thursday 3rd February from 9 am
– Social Gathering: Friday 4th February from 5 pm
Updates at the Hangar: After lengthy discussion and negotiation, the Shire legal team has issued us with a copy of a 10-Year lease for the Hangar. This is a great start to 2022. Southern Peninsula News Report
The work on the replacement roof has been completed, the walls have been repainted and we will be ready to reuse those side rooms. It’s looking a whole lot brighter inside now.
I think the whole community is enjoying the addition of the Totem Poles. A nice pic appeared in the local paper as well. Kit Bailey and the Totem Poles
Activities starting up in 2022:
500 Card Club: No summer break for these guys. The plan was to carry on meeting every Tuesday evening, working on tables of 4 depending on numbers on the night. Looking forward to a full house soon.
Music Group: On-going success in developing the talents of our members. Meeting on Wednesdays but flexible for additional “rehearsals”.
Music Group Recipe and Photo Book: First release “sold out”! More copies are now available at $25 each. A great record of the Shed, our local environment and those proven recipes.
Motor Group: The Group will restart meetings on a regular basis once the Shed re-opens in 2022.
“Help-a-Mate”: A big success in the past years. Time to register any of the tasks you need some help with. There could be other members with just the skills you need!!
“The Tuesday Crew”: Looking to continue meeting at Stringer Reserve from February 1st. Open door every Tuesday, from 1:00 pm. Using the space at the Shed for all those assembly projects.
