Heating and Cooling at the Hangar: With the grant made available from the State Government, work has really progressed and we have a system in place. The card group has already enjoyed the benefits.
Thanks to John Stevenson for pushing on with this project.
Stringer Reserve Working Bees: Every Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 pm. Great to see members dropping by the Shed and joining in.
Football Tipping : I thought that I would start things going [I can feel the fever starting to rise]. The format will be the same as last year in as much as we will use the AFL Footy Tipping Program, so if you want to continue, all you have to do is log into the AFL FT website and off you go.
PS: Don’t forget to join the “PNMSA Comp” when you register
Bikes Program: In the past, we have been taking bikes for restoration and resale, often ending with units just going to the tip!! We are putting strict limits on what we will receive. No roadside pickups accepted!!
Caravan and Camping Group: Discussions in progress on starting a caravan and camping group within the Shed. The idea is that the group chooses a destination [could be anywhere], book a campsite, ideally with cabins for those who do not have a van, and then go away for a few days as a group.
Motor Group : Meetings have restarted and some initial thoughts have been shared with existing Group members. The car hoist seems to be occupied on a regular basis. This is proving to be a very useful purchase for all those car mechanics. Bookings essential.
The 2000 Holden Barina that was donated to the Shed had a serious work over and has been SOLD and the money in the Bank!!. Great result – thanks to Michael for the donation and all the mechanics.
“The Shed Men” have been very popular with appearances at the Shed end of year function, a concert in Rye, Australia Day in Sorrento and now a regular spot at the Hangar on Fridays through the year! Their 1st booking at the Hangar, confirmed for Friday April 8th, so save the date.
PS: Diamond Creek also has a Band and issued a “warning” about stay attendees at their rehearsals. DCMSBand.pdf!
