2019 RACV funds help Men’s Shed move with the times

A $5,000 donation from RACV has helped the Point Nepean Men’s Shed, on the Mornington Peninsula, to fit out their new van.

The vehicle will allow members of the organisation to travel, and transport materials, to onsite community projects.

“We’ve dubbed the new van the ‘Mobile Workshop’,” said John Stevenson, the President of the Point Nepean Men’s Shed.

The new vehicle was officially unveiled at the Shedders’ Big Day Out, in Dromana on Tuesday 24 September 2019, as part of Men’s Shed week.

“RACV is proud to support these groups who give so much back to their local communities,” said RACV Head of Corporate Responsibility Lauren Owens.

The Point Nepean Men’s Shed is one of more than one thousand meeting places across Australia providing somewhere for men to find social support and camaraderie.
